Furth, Fortune

I'm not going back to farming -
I exhausted the charms of farming
Before the Great War;
Even when I had land and tweeds
And boots and energy I told the boys
There's nothing for you here

A cheer'll go up
In gold and silver;
Vindicated
For long enough to laugh
Before the web and the banks
Fail,  unreachable

There's nothing for you here
